NAVIMOR is executing the biggest educational project in Africa – The construction and establishment of The Academy of Fishery and Marine Sciences in Namibe (Academia de Pescas e Ciências do Mar do Namibe).
The Academy was formed, at the request of the Government of the Republic of Angola, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Namibe province. The project was highly complexed with a wide scope of assignments - starting from creating the concept, through deliveries of all materials, construction works of facilities, personnel training and establishment of educational process. The Maritime Academy in Gdynia was the educational partner of the project.
The construction and establishment of the Academy of Fishery and Marine Sciences is the most significant Polish project and one of the biggest European educational project in Africa.
The entire investment covers an area of over 80 ha. The scope included the construction of the main university buildings with an area of more than 29,000 m2, navigation simulator center, sea and fire rescue center, 30 thematic laboratories, marine power plant center and many others.

The whole project also included the creation of the curriculum, organizational concept, IT system for university management and the provision of training and research vessels.
